Sakura roasted unagi eel: glazed, ready-cooked eel for unadon, nigiri and rolls. Single 170 g pack from China.
Unagi is freshwater eel grilled with a sweet soy glaze, a Japanese favourite for its rich, tender flesh. This 170 g Sakura roasted eel is already cooked and glazed, so it only needs warming. Heat it under a grill or in a hot oven for a few minutes until the glaze bubbles, or steam it briefly to keep it moist. Slice it over hot rice for unadon, cut it for nigiri and dragon rolls, or add it to bento. Brush on extra eel sauce if you like. Keep it frozen until needed, thaw in the fridge and eat once warmed. You get a single 170 g pack of Sakura roasted unagi eel. Thin strips also make a rich topping for a simple avocado roll.
