Omega Almond Whole: natural skin-on almonds for snacking, roasting, almond milk and baking. Single 1 kg pack.
Whole almonds are natural almonds with their brown skins on, crunchy and mildly sweet. Eat them as a snack, roast them with salt or spices, or soak them overnight and peel for a softer bite, as many families do for breakfast. They can be chopped into salads and pilafs, ground for almond butter or blended with water to make almond milk. Toasting brings out a deeper, nuttier flavour. The almond is a tree of the genus Prunus, related to the peach, and the nut is the seed inside a corrugated woody shell. Keep whole almonds in a sealed container in a cool place; in hot climates the fridge keeps them fresh longest. Many families in the Gulf and South Asia soak a handful overnight and peel them for breakfast, and almonds are also blended into almond milk and almond butter.
