Omega Cashewnut Broken: cashew pieces for korma pastes, pulao, stir-fries and vegan sauces. Single 1 kg pack.
Broken cashews are cashew pieces sold at a better value than whole nuts, with the same rich, buttery flavour. They are perfect for cooking: soak and blend them into smooth cashew paste for korma, butter chicken and shahi gravies, or fry them for pulao, upma and kheer. They also go into stir-fries, granola and vegan cream sauces. Since appearance is not important in pastes, broken pieces make good sense for kitchens. Cashews come from Anacardium occidentale, a tropical evergreen tree that also produces the cashew apple. Broken pieces have more exposed surface than whole nuts, so seal the pack well and store it somewhere cool. In Indian kitchens, soaked cashew paste gives butter chicken, korma and shahi paneer their creamy body, and fried pieces garnish pulao, upma, kheer and vermicelli. Vegan cooks blend them into creamy sauces and dips.
